August 18: Preparing Small Businesses to Access Capital

Wachovia Bank financial specialist Arlen Munoz will be the featured guest on the August 18 edition of Economic Perspectives. Munoz will discuss the small business loan application process with a special emphasis on the financial and tax documents typically required to apply for a loan. Some of the areas that will be covered in the interview include:

  • What documents are required to apply for a loan
  • How your accountant can improve your chances of getting approved for a loan
  • How banks evaluate small business loan applications
  • Most common reasons for loan applications being denied
  • What it takes to get approved for a loan for a start-up

Munoz will also be speaking at a seminar, “Preparing Small Businesses to Access Capital,” sponsored by the National Association of Black Accountants Austin Cen-Tex Chapter on August 23, 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. at KAZI SummerFest 2008 at the Monarch Event Center, 6406 I-H 35. Other speakers at the seminar will include Jaime Noyola, Director of Lending at PeopleFund and Shirley Sheffield, Portfolio Manager at BiGAustin.
